Hanami is such a versatile sewing pattern with lovely details. The name refers to the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of blossoms.
The options can be combined to dozens of different garments:
- gathered skirt, box pleat skirt, or skirt with pockets
- sleeveless, flutter sleeves, or tulip flutter sleeves
- back with hidden zipper or buttons
- deep back or regular back
- with or without peter pan collar
- with or without patchwork triangle
All these options make Hanami a pattern which can be used all year round.
Straightgrain patterns come beautifully presented in a folder containing a full colour printed instruction booklet and a multi-sized paper pattern. Straightgrain patterns are designed to be traced off. This means that you will be able to make multiple sizes of the garment as your child grows. For this you could use tracing paper, baking parchment, thin wrapping paper; or we can supply you with some .
